The Birth of Sea Spirits
Why Abalone Whisky, you may ask? It’s simple, we are passionate about the Australian Ocean, and in particular our Australian Abalone! Our vision is to share Abalone with everyone, and not be limited by its traditional consumption medium, for it is a truly universal product.
Did you know Australia is World Capital of Abalone? It has 50% of the World's Wild Caught Abalone! We wanted to pay tribute to its rich history, as well as the unique characteristics and flavour of our delicious Abalone. Fresh of our success of our Ocean Rocks World First Abalone Craft Beer, our goal was to create a new page in the legacy of Australian Abalone, with the World’s First Abalone Whisky!
From this the Sea Spirits brand was born, and in 2022 we released the World’s First Abalone Whisky – Australian Owned, Australian Made.
Our Philosophy
At Sea Spirits, we are inspired not by the snowy highlands and open moors, but instead by Australia’s golden beaches and the crashing waves from our gorgeous oceans. From Melbourne’s four seasons in a day, where you can bask in the warmth of the sun one minute and look out for the encroaching storms the next. Our journey begins with creating spirits that evoke the warmth and relaxation of summer, and unique Australian ingredients.

Taking our passion for Abalone, and our accumulated knowledge of over 35 years, our founders established Magoka Australia Pty Ltd to share our passion into the drinks industry. Magoka proudly houses our Sea Spirits and Oshun Rocks brands.

Our Sea Spirits products are handcrafted by our artisan spirits maker, Red Duck Distillery, located in regional Ballarat, Victoria. Our amazing distillery helps transforms our Abalone and inspired thoughts into unique, delicious Australian Made Spirits!
